Description
What it is
The charcoal (carbon) filter that sits under an over-the-range microwave and removes cooking odours, grease vapour and smoke before the air is recirculated back into the kitchen. It is a consumable — it loads up with grease and stops working long before it looks worn.
Why a 5-pack
These filters are meant to be replaced every 6–12 months, and they are cheap enough that buying one at a time means paying shipping five times. A 5-pack covers roughly five years and works out cheaper per filter than buying singly.
Size
4″ x 8-9/16″ x 3/8″ (approx. 102 x 217 x 10 mm). It is a flat rectangular pad, not a round cartridge — measure the filter slot in your microwave before ordering.
Replaces
WB02X11544, and cross-compatible with WB02X10956 and JX81H.
Fitting
Open the grille on the underside or front of the microwave, slide the old pad out and the new one in. No tools, a couple of minutes.
