Description
What it is
A replacement media air filter for Carrier and Bryant furnaces and air handlers fitted with an EZ Flex filter cabinet. The pleated media traps dust, pollen and fine particulate; MERV 10 is the usual rating for this cabinet family.
Size
20″ x 25″ x 5″ nominal (about 508 x 635 x 127 mm), MERV 10. The last four digits of the part number are the first dimension — 0020 = 20 inches, which matches the 16″ x 25″ x 5″ EXPXXFIL0016 in the same family.
Replaces
EXPXXFIL0020. The same 20″ x 25″ x 5″ media size is also used in Honeywell FC100A1037-style cabinets — the two are dimensionally interchangeable in many installations.
Fitting
Slide the old filter out of the cabinet and the new one in. Note the airflow arrow on the frame — it points toward the blower. Replace every 6–12 months, or sooner in dusty or high-pollen environments.
Before you order
Measure the filter you are removing. Cabinets of the same nominal size differ in actual dimensions by a fraction of an inch, and the filter has to seat in the track.
