What it is
A replacement pressure-balancing cartridge for Delta tub and shower faucets. It controls both flow and temperature — the handle turns the stem, the cartridge ports open and close.

How a worn cartridge shows up
Drips that continue after the handle is fully closed, a handle that needs to be pushed harder to shut off, temperature that drifts, or a lever that turns stiffly or with a gritty feel. All of these point at the sealing faces inside the cartridge rather than the handle.

Why replace it rather than the faucet
The cartridge is the wear part; the faucet body and finish usually are not. Replacing it is a fifteen-minute job and keeps the fixture you already have.

If your fixture is not a Delta 13 / 14 series, send us the faucet model number (or a photo of the old cartridge) and we will confirm before you buy. If it does not fit, we replace it.
