Description
What it is
The hot or cold water control stem and cartridge assembly for Delta two-handle faucets, as used in many Delta kitchen and bathroom sink faucets. The stem carries the cartridge that opens and closes the water path, and over years the seal at the seat wears so the handle starts to drip. A worn stem will also let the handle wobble, feel gritty through the rotation, or not fully shut off.
Why a 5-pack
Once a Delta two-handle faucet has worn one stem, the other handle is the same age and follows soon after. A 5-pack covers a full rebuild on a kitchen faucet (both stems), a lavatory faucet (both stems) and a spare for the next failure, with one to keep on hand. It is also the right size for a property maintenance kit.

Works on both hot and cold. Seats and springs are not included in this listing — they are a separate wear item and should be replaced at the same time, sold as Delta RP4993.
Fits
Delta two-handle faucets installed in kitchens, bathrooms and bathtub-shower combinations that used this stem configuration. Remove the existing stem and compare the profile to the picture before ordering.
Replaces
RP25513 — the current Delta part number, which supersedes RP25513-3. Aftermarket replacement kits also cross to RP24096 (cartridge), RP4993 (seat and spring set) and RP24097 (1/4 turn stop).
Fitting
Shut off the water at the supply stops. Pry off the index cap on the handle, unscrew the handle screw and lift the handle off. Unscrew the retaining nut (a stem nut wrench makes this easier), pull the old stem out of the valve body, drop the new stem in the same orientation, refit the retaining nut and reassemble the handle. Turn the water back on slowly and check for drips at the spout and around the stem.
