What it is
The expandable “EZ Flex” filter media used in Carrier and Bryant air handlers and fan coils. The media is a flexible accordion that slides into the existing filter frame or cabinet track — you replace the media, not the whole frame assembly.
Size — please measure
Nominal 16″ x 25″ x 5″. Because the media is expandable it compresses for shipping and opens out in the track. Measure the opening on your existing frame before ordering: the first two numbers matter most.
Replaces
EXPXXFIL0016 — Carrier / Bryant EZ Flex series. Do not confuse it with EXPXXFIL0020, which is the 20″ x 25″ size; the last four digits of the part number give the first dimension (0016 = 16″, 0020 = 20″).
Filtration
MERV 10 — the standard residential rating for this media. It captures dust, pollen, mould spores and pet dander while keeping airflow within the design range of the unit.
Service interval
Check monthly, replace every 3–6 months. A loaded filter raises static pressure and makes the blower work harder.
Before you order
Send us a photo of your filter frame and the part number on the existing media, and we will confirm before you buy. If it does not fit, we replace it.
