What it is
A replacement refrigerator water filter cartridge for fridge models that use the GE RPWFE filter. This is an aftermarket compatible cartridge, not a Genuine GE part.
Important — no RFID chip
Genuine GE RPWFE cartridges contain an RFID chip that some GE and Profile refrigerators use to recognise the filter. This cartridge does not have that chip. On most units it filters normally and the only effect is that the filter-status indicator may not reset. On a small number of models the fridge will keep showing a filter warning. If your model refuses to run without chip recognition, please buy a chipped cartridge instead — tell us your model number and we will advise.
Replaces
RPWFE — also cross-referenced as RPWF in some listings. Check the cartridge you are removing.
Filter life
Replace every 6 months, or sooner on hard water or heavy use. Flush 2–3 gallons through the dispenser after fitting.
